Zlatin Radev

Zlatin Radev was born in 1960 in Sofia. He graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Ilia Petrov" and the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in "director of animation" (1990). He specialized in 1991-1992 in "computer animation" at the School of Visual Arts "Gobelins" in Paris. His first original film was "Only for men" (1986) and won the award from festival in Babelsberg, Germany and was included in the "Best of Animation" in Munich. In 1987, working on "... Ah". The film was submitted to the festivals in Moscow, Munich and Babelsberg. "Konservfilm" (1990) is his most successful work. This film received 20 awards worldwide and was nominated for "Oscar" in 1991. Since 1993 to 1996 he participated in the creation of special visual effects and miniatures for feature films. In 1996 he graduated second version of "Shock". This film has participated in the official selections of 11 international festivals and was awarded in San Jose - California, Korea, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Russia. Since1997 to 2004 he was executive producer of a series of films produced by Boyana Studios for Bulgarian, German and French companies. Since 2005 he worked on the full-length animated film "The Junks', a co-production between Bulgaria, Canada, Germany and the UK. He is a screenwriter and director. In the period 2007-2008, he was a director and director of animation of "Louis", a co-production of Canada Germany and the Netherlands. In 2009 he was a director of animation "Sandman" (Germany). Zlatin Radev is a producer and director of the huge number of ads for major Bulgarian and foreign companies, winners of six international awards. In 1994, he was a member of the jury of the film festival "Golden Rose" in Varna, Bulgaria and in 2002 - International Festival "Molodist" in Kiev, Ukraine. Since 1995 to 1999 he participated in the Board of the organization Copyright FILMAUTOR, and from 1997 to 2004 - The Board of Boyana Film Studios as Head of "animation". In 1992, he founded the production company "Zlatin Radev film for animation and advertising films and visual effects, and in 2003 co-founded the studio "Junk Brothers "for gaming and advertising productions. Since 2001 to 2006 he has taught animation"at National Aacademy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria.
