Sybil Temchen was born to French parents and spent her early childhood living in both France and the U.S. She started acting at a young age in school plays and was the youngest member, at age 7, of her local theater repertory company. Temchen went on to major in acting in college. She began acting professionally not long after in theater, film, and television starring alongside such notable actors as Helen Mirren, Adrien Brody, Simon Baker, and others. She has also starred in projects with such directors and producers as Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Steven Bochco (Murder in the First), Michael Apted (Masters of Sex), and just starred in the 2014 indie hit Audrey (which she also co-wrote and produced) for which she has now been dubbed the "Jack Bauer of Romantic Comedies" by The Examiner. Temchen has also produced and written one short and produced one other feature film.
