Kirk Tingblad began his career animating commercials and animating on tv specials and features from his studio in Minnesota. He moved to Chicago to work as a Director/Animator for STARTOONS working on TINY TOON ADVENTURES, TAZMANIA, And ANIMANIACS, for With he received a GEORGE FOSTER PEABODY AWARD.. Starting a wave of former STARTOONS Directors moving to Hollywood. Tingblad landed at Disney as a Animation Director on such shows as QUACK PACK, ALLADIN, and TIMON AND PUMBAA. His next stop was the WARNER BROS lot to work on the Michael Jordan/Bugs Bunny feature SPACEJAM.Foolowing that success, Tingblad Directed STEVEN SPIELBERG PRESENTS PINKY AND THE BRAIN for which he received thee EMMY AWRD Nominationsand won the 1999 EMMY AWARD for Directing STEVEN SPIELBERG PRESENTS PINKY AND THE BRAIN. At this time he was also nominated for an EMMY AWARD for STEVEN SPIELBERG PRESENTS ANIMANIACS, he was also nominated for an ANNIE AWARD for Directing the prime time A PINKY AND THE BRAIN HALLOWEEN. Tingblad next landed in the Director/Producer's chair on Johnny Bravo at Cartoon Network where he was nominated for an ANNIE AWARD and a GOLDEN REEL AWARD for Directing the episode "Nior Johnny". After Directing 39 episodes of Johnny Bravo he went on to work for every major Hollywood studio as an Animation Director for Disney's TARZAN, MICKEY MOUSEWORKS, THE HOUSE OF MOUSE and LILO AND STITCH, Sony's JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES, Universals EARTHWORM JIM, Warner Bros DUCK DODGERS, TOM &JERRY, JUSTICE LEAGUE, JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, THE LOONIE TUNES SHOW, SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY INCORPORATED and many of their features including TOM &JERRY, SCOOBY-DOO, BATMAN, And THE JUSTICE LEAGUE, Hasbro's KIAJUDO and at Marvel FANTASTIC FOUR, THOR, and PLANET HULK. The list is over 70 titles long and over 1000 half hours and over 20 feature lengths long.
