Walter Threadgill

Walter is a writer and actor, born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though primarily a stage actor, he appeared as a principle character in the feature film Superhero Excelsior as Steel Austrian. Though he'd dabbled in writing since the age of 13, it wasn't until 1996 the age of 20, that people began performing his work. In 2003 he joined the Comic Energy sketch comedy troupe, and began to transition from being an actor/writer, to seeing himself as a Writer. (Capital "W".) After serving as C.E.'s Assistant Director for 4 years, Walter left in 2007 to pursue his own vision, since the troupe was already changing focus from live stage shows, to independent feature films. As sketch comedy in Philadelphia dried up as a market, Walter turned his sights to television, working on a few projects that never got off the ground. In 2017 while working on several other projects, Walter re-teamed with Comic Energy founder James Daly III, to develop a sitcom based on the troupe they helmed for years.
