Cinematic Jack-Of-All-Trades Douglas Travis (birth name: Douglas Fink) started on Broadway and Off-Broadway plays such as Death of a Salesman, Kennedys Children, and The Infantryman. He then signed a deal with several TV studios. As a result, he landed a supporting role in several episodes of the Burt Reynolds show "Hawk." He also Landed a well received role as Nick Conway on the Soap Opera "As the World Turns." Then in 1971, he signed a deal to be in an avant - Gard short film. The director decided early in production to use the budget to create a feature length film, a film which became one of the most infamous B-Movies of all time: Captive. It played in film festivals around the world under the title "Two", its real success was on home video. It then developed a cult following, to the point that no collector of B-Movies would be caught dead with out a copy of "Captive" on VHS. After Captive, he did extra work and bit roles on somewhere between 20 and 25 films, before falling into obscurity and stepping away from the camera. Then in 1996, a conspiracy comparable to the famous "Paul is Dead" came out, apparently he had died. But it was just Tablod lies. As of 2010, Mr Fink is alive and well, living a normal life, and fondly remembering the days of Captive. We will only hope that some DVD distributor will pick up Captive for distribution, and then Captive-Mania will run wild again.
