Born in Okinawa, the child of an American WWII veteran and Japanese mother, Eileen grew up in Old Ripley/Pocahontas, a small farming community in Southern Illinois where her father was raised. This same area later became the birthplace of country music artist, Gretchen Wilson. After the death of her father, Eileen moved to Chicago to make a living and there is where she discovered a local acting school and eventually appeared in a made-for-television movie, "Howard Beach: Making a Case for Murder" starring Daniel J. Travanti. A portion of this movie was filmed in Chicago and that led her to want to do more. Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles and began studying film acting at The Actors Workshop (RJ Adams, Coach) and remained there for approximately 12 years. During those years, she appeared on several episodes of daytime soap drama, "Days of Our Lives." And in 1994, she became a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Soon after her husband retired, they moved to the Coachella Valley, and in 2007, she joined Palm Springs Women in Film, enrolled in Jorn Winther's Super Mentor Acting Workshop held on the campus of CSUSB Palm Desert, CA and was eventually cast for the role as "Gussie" in Neil Simon's play, "Come Blow Your Horn" directed by Jorn at the Indian Wells Theater; Palm Desert, CA. Also, from Winter 2008 through Spring 2009, Eileen actively participated as a BookPal reader.
