Tony Vella is a born and raised true San Francisco Native hailing from the cities Glen Park area but spent time in the famed Mission District, St Mary's Park, Excelsior and other areas of The City as well. As a young child he was fascinated by cartoon voices and grew up originally wanting to do them as a career. In his early 20's he studied with all of the voice over artists and coaches available in SF including meeting and becoming friends with Lucille Bliss (The Voice of Smurfette/Crusader Rabbit) from there and after securing some work but not animation voices he was encouraged by his agent to take on-camera courses and go for acting auditions. After taking numerous workshops for cold reading, commercial acting, improv and eventually studying the traditional "method" at the well known "Jean Shelton School of Acting" he began to audition and obtain small and featured roles. Out of the need for more work he found his way into stunts and utilizing his background in acting was able to combine both skills. Over the years he has become a stunt coordinator, aerial rigger, stunt and commercial driver and still continues to combine both stunts and acting. His actors training also makes for working with actors easier when stunt coordinating as he understands the complexities of what is going on in their heads as well as the action to be applied.
