Mark Virkler received his MFA in Acting from Long Beach State University in 1989. While in Los Angeles he appeared on "General Hospital", "Days of Our Lives" and "Life Goes On" and at Universal Studios in "The Riot Act", the western stunt show. This is where he adopted the professional name "Mark Forrest" taken from his hometown of Forrest, Illinois. In 1994 he relocated to Chicago where he performed in the city's longest-running musical, "Forever Plaid" over 800 times and in 3 different roles. While in this show he had the honor of singing the national anthem at Wrigley Field. He has many commercials, industrials and voice-overs to his credit, and occasionally teaches at The School of Performing Arts in Naperville. In Chicago, he can be seen at "Tommy Guns Garage", a 1920s speakeasy, dinner theatre where he plays "Rocco". He is very much in love with his wonderful wife, Megan, and they have a 2 year old son named Henry.
