Mark Ward

Mark Ward is a Peabody Award-winning writer, director and producer working in film and radio. He is a graduate of Oxford University and holds an M.F.A. from the American Film Institute. He has also written on film and music for the Financial Times, the Boston Globe, and Stills magazine. His Masters thesis was the first serious study of the film music by Bernard Herrmann, "Mouche" gained significant attention at the time as it was the first feature to be made by an Oxford undergraduate, on location with student actors, and went on to make a profit. "Clinic E" won the prestigious Franklin J. Schaffner Prize, awarded by producers Kathleen Kennedy and Stuart Cornfeld, and writer/directors Amy Heckerling and Lawrence Kasdan. Mark has written and produced many hours of award-winning music programming and radio drama for NPR and the BBC, including "Speaking for Everyman: Ian McKellen celebrates Shakespeare's Birthday", and numerous plays with L.A. TheatreWorks, for whom he directed Jason Robards and Judith Ivey in "Park Your Car in Harvard Yard".
