Shalini Waran

Ms. Waran has been a line producer and producer for numerous feature films and documentaries over the last fifteen years and in January of 2015 helped to launch Cinterra Entertainment as a Manager. Her producing credits include the Oscar-nominated Little Surprises directed by Jeff Goldblum for Showtime, and Slamdance Grand Jury nominee Dill Scallion written and directed by Jordan Brady. Other documentary credits include John the Road featuring John Lehr as well as William Gazecki's Crop Circles: Quest for Truth. Most recently Ms. Waran has produced numerous live concert event-DVDs both in the U.S. and overseas.Ms. Waran's professional career began in film sales and marketing in London, after which she accepted a position in Los Angeles as Director of Development and Creative Affairs for Edward R. Pressman Productions where she worked on feature film projects including Conan the Barbarian and Pirates of Penzance. Ms. Waran then served as Production Coordinator on the Sam Raimi film Crimewave, developed and produced by Pressman. Infected by the precision and excitement of production, she has never looked back. Leaving her development position, she enlisted as a production coordinator and assistant to film director Roger Donaldson, learning the ropes by working on films including No Way Out, White Sands and Cadillac Man.
