Diego Wallraff is fluent in English, Spanish and German and works in television, film and theater in Europe and USA. He was born in Barranquilla Colombia, was mostly raised in Europe and has been living in LA for over 25 years. On the big screen Wallraff co-starred in Mira Nair's romantic comedy The Perez Family (1995), with Anjelica Huston and Marisa Tomei and in Of Love and Shadows (1994), with Antonio Banderas and Jennifer Connelly. Most recently Wallraff has picked up some leads in American television, though he also continues to film projects in Germany. Last year he joined the cast of the upcoming film Wunderschön by director Karoline Herfurth. He starred in the German independent film Black Wedding (2015) which won the Best Comedy Award and got him a Best Male Lead nomination at the Sydney Indie Film Festival in 2015 - he also starred in the critically acclaimed film Schattenboxer (1992) by German director Lars Becker. For television Wallraff completed 2 seasons of the international action series Largo Winch (2001) filmed between Montreal and Paris. Other television credits include: the MOW Try To Remember (2004) (TV) with Gabrielle Anwar, the MOW Rush Of Fear (2003) (TV) with Rosanna Arquette, the TNT feature Deadlocked (2000) with David Caruso, the HBO thriller Exception to the Rule (1997) with Sean Young and Kim Cattrall and TNT's mini-series Joseph (1995), starring Ben Kingsley. A graduate of the Academy For Music And Dramatic Arts in Hamburg/Germany, Wallraff has had starring roles in various productions for German TV and he was also a member of Hamburg's National Theater under the artistic direction of renowned directors Peter Zadek and Michael Bogdanov.
