Kevin Watson is no stranger to the spotlight. For more than two decades, Watson has cultivated a career that has taken him both in front of and behind the camera. As an actor, Watson has appeared in such features as "Brown Sugar," starring Queen Latifah, the critically acclaimed Larry Cohen Directed "Original Gangsters" and he has had cameos in Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers and Somethings Gotta Give". he was the chief Technology officer and new media Director at Atik for a decade! there he Behind the scenes, Watson has taken on practically every role possible in the movie making process in order to understand each level of movie-making at the highest level. He has written, directed and even served as a camera operator. But this is only a small part of Watson's long and influential career. before Dentsu aquired progressive global creative agency called Attik Watson was employed there fulltime and held tenure as ATTIKS Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Director of new media . Being a Chief executive and director fulltime Watson directed alot of tv commercials weekly. He spearheaded his departments and creative teams innovative and provocative branded solutions for clients. He helped bring a traditional print design company into interactive and advanced broadcast design Award winning leader. As the director and cto Watson oversee and helped pitch and successfully land accounts in categories in food & Automotive/Aftermarket, Tech/Start-ups, Gaming, Sports and Active Lifestyle Brands. He was instrumental securing, strategy design & delivery of deals with HBO, Microsoft IGN.com, EA, Ubisoft, SONY, and Yahoo! AOL, TiVo, NFL, among others. Prior to Attik He started as a pioneer in the .com world at Razorfish as one of the original employees in the late 90's. Razorfish, today is a huge enterprise, now part of Publicis Groupe, it was one of the world's largest interactive agencies. Razorfish provided creative services including web development, strategy, media planning and buying, technology and innovation, emerging media, analytics, mobile, advertising, creative, social influence marketing and searchRazorfish was one of the New York-based Web design companies formed the core of a cluster of New Media companies known as Silicon Alley. Razorfish became one of the first firms to be financed by a traditional media holding company, Omnicom (along with other New Media pioneers, Agency.com, Red Sky Interactive, Think New Ideas and Organic). Kevin developed technical and interactive solutions for the in house accounting,coding staff,creative department and for clients ranging from, Christies auction house, Roadrunner, Casio, Moma , KPMG and Charles Schwab. Kevin also had a short stint as the creative director of viewpoint corporation . a a 3d technology company specialized in the area of digitalization and modeling for the movie industry . Bryce, metacreations, poser , Corel and computer associates all were associated with Viewpoint Corporation. Watson was hired to oversee creative, engineering and design. and their 3d on the web technology integration the viewpoint player. He creative directed and launched solutions to market for Sega, Schick and Proctor and Gamble. Packed with a full knowledge of hands on branding 3d,cinema and film Kevin wanted to spend more time applying his hand at launching his own film career as a director and actor. Applying the corporate skills he learned is what he does ! In 2012 he launched Powatt LLC the Made in America luxury cut & sew brand Powatt LLChas recently evolved to a fashion house selling its own line as well as a one-stop shop factory for clients and forward-thinking American apparel, fashion brands and Fortune 1000 companies that need turnkey fashion manufacturing services and technology to turn ideas into product. He currently is also cofounder of A-stound Entertainment. It is a music production, filmmaking, and tour services intellectual property creator. A-astound also is a back office service hub for music , film catalog administration ,licensing ,synching and distribution of films and music.
