Jennia Fredrique Aponte is an award-winning writer/director known for her unique visual style and bold vision, particularly in the areas of production and costume design." Born in Gary Indiana, Jennia studied filmmaking at Columbia University & Art at the Art Institute in Chicago. Out of over a thousand submissions, Jennia was one of only 15 selected to be part of the highly competitive Sony Director's Program, a year-long directing intensive which allowed her to apprentice under several esteemed directors including Randall Einhorn (while he was originating the 70's themed series The Kids Are Alright). " Jennia's first two short films, Sacred Heart and 90 DAYS, were accepted into many prestigious film festivals including Cannes and SXSW. 90 DAYS, a film about the stigma around HIV, is hailed as "a cinematic piece of art that confronts the human experience of overcoming one of life's greatest perceived challenges" and has garnered multiple awards including an African Academy Award." She describes herself as being the kind of director who takes a macro approach to the overall vision of film making, preferring to have her hands in all aspects in order to ensure there's a strong, cohesive theme throughout." She and her husband Sol Aponte are partners in the production company, Full Frequency Media, and together are responsible for creating and developing Sacred Heart, 90 DAYS and Amazon Prime's Beyond the Talent featuring artists Kevin Hart, T- pain, Akon, Far East movement, Estelle, Les Twins and Miguel. And, most recently writing/directing/producing the Anatomy series, a four part docu-series for Sean "Diddy" Combs on REVOLT TV." Her first feature, Diamondback, a female-driven, redemptive revenge drama set in 1870's Montana is being produced by June Bug Pictures and is set for a 2021 release."
