Whitey Shapiro

Whitey Shapiro worked closely with Lee Strasberg at the New York Actors Studio and subsequently worked on a number of productions with David Mamet and William H. Macy in Vermont and Off Broadway in New York." After receiving his MFA in Directing, Whitey moved to Seattle in 1983, joined the Trish Lopez Actors Group, performed at the Seattle Rep and was cast in feature films such as the Assassins and The Vanishing. In 2007 Whitey retired as Program Coordinator for the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education.
