John began his career as a recording engineer at A&M records working with such artist as Captain and Tennille ("Love Will Keep Us Together" Grammy award winning Record of the Year, Hoyt Axton and many others. He taught at the Berklee School of Music's MP&E department where he became involved, through Doug Grindstaff, with development of the CyborFrame/WaveFrame editorial platform and returned to LA to work with Doug on the implementation of the systems at Pacific Sound Services. After that facility proved successful John joined Sony Pictures' sound department as a sound editor and soon became a sound supervisor. In 2000 he joined the faculty of the NCSU School of the Arts and later, SCAD. He is presently back in Santa Monica CA working on films.
