Martha Solorzano was born in Managua, Nicaragua. Her mother is a writer and painter, and her father, now retired was a Chemist/Pharmacist. At the early age of eight, Martha's parents sent her to boarding school in Vienna, Austria saving her from ongoing turmoil in her home country. Martha lived in an all girl Catholic Boarding School in Vienna for three years, and then moved back to Nicaragua, but only remained there a few months because her family was being politically persecuted. Ms. Solorzano moved to Miami at the age of twelve. She attended Middle School there and became a member of the drama club. It was from that school that she was recruited to attend the acclaimed New World School for the Arts in Miami. From there, she went on to win several more scholarships to study drama in renowned schools such as Carnegie Mellon, New York University and Boston University, where she decided to attend and where she earned her B.F.A. in dramatic arts. She later took her acting skills back to Miami and New York, where she worked as a principal performer in over one hundred TV commercials which were broadcast all over North America, Latin America, and Europe. She got supporting roles in Telemundo's soap-operas Guadalupe and El Magnate. She also directed a few plays for several different companies in Miami and Boca Raton in the Spanish language. While this was all going on, at the same time, Martha was jet-setting with famous European friends, and spent her time in the South of France, and Spain. Later, she was chosen as a bilingual spokesperson, presenter and host for General Motors and later Mitsubishi Motors and later, Honda traveling all over the nation representing Honda of North America. Interested in producing film, Martha was awarded a diploma in the capacity of feature film producer, Cinema Director from the Hollywood Film Institute, as well as another diploma in digital filmmaking for FVA Film and Video Arts in New York City in 2001. Martha is a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) AFTRA and IFP (Independent Feature Project). On her free time, Martha enjoys photography, painting, decorating her house and spending time with her loved ones. Martha's most recent endeavor is the launch of her new line of handbags "marooka".
