Ed Spiegel was a gregarious and wonderful man. He was always willing to talk and share his experiences and his friendship. After a long career working for such luminaries as David Wolper, he was an instructor in the 1980's teaching film making. Ed wrote an excellent book, titled, "The Innocence of the Eye: A Filmmaker's Guide". The book is both a history book about the USC film program and also the relationship the film director has with the camera and subjects. Ed was a Veteran of WWII and a family man.
