Adelina Suvagau is an award-winning documentary and TV Producer with over 30 years experience in television and documentary production. In 1995 Adelina moved to Vancouver from Romania, with her husband and daughter Sonia Suvagau, and founded Sonia Productions Inc in 1998. Adelina Suvagau produced and directed over 750 one-hour television shows for Channel M and OMNI Television, four feature documentaries, two television series, two short films, two feature films, and one play. Adelina's Television series, Rompost TV, is on its 17h season and airs weekly on Rogers, OMNI Television channel. CBC, City TV, Vision TV, and Joy TV broadcast Adelina's documentaries and Documentary TV series. Adelina Suvagau received in 2012 for "Return to Byzantium-The Art and Life of Lilian Broca" documentary the Award for Best Documentary at San Pedro International Film Festival, Los Angeles, California. Between 2006 and 2015, Adelina Suvagau acted as the National Representative and the Professional Development Director for the Documentary Organization of Canada, BC chapter. Between 2015-2016 Adelina Suvagau was the President of Cineworks, an artist-run production and exhibition center that supports independent filmmakers and media artists.
