Roderick E. Stevens spent a decade working in just about every capacity that exists on a film set. His overwhelming passion for a variety of creative disciplines from writing and directing, to cinematography, painting, architecture, and music is sometimes known as ADHD. After attending film school in Los Angeles in 1990-91, Roderick moved back to Arizona, raised financing for his first feature film, Open Arms, and created Cinemavista Moving Pictures, Inc. In 1993 he shot his second feature, Act Of Violence (later re-titled Deadly Exposure) a "tongue -in- cheek" action film about a struggling indie-film director, which found worldwide distribution. By the mid-90s, CVMP had produced several Television projects for USA Network, The Sci-Fi Channel, America's Most Wanted and others, as well as numerous Addy Award winning Commercials. It was around that time however that Roderick came to realize his love for cinematography and for the next decade, Roderick served as Director of Photography on over 25 feature films, numerous short films, and several music videos. In 2005, Roderick's life took another 90 degree turn when he rediscovered his passion for fine art and painting. His years as a cinematographer trained his dormant painters eye and another career was born. He spent the next decade traveling the country showing his photo-realistic paintings and mixed-media wall sculptures in shows and galleries all over the U.S. 2013 saw him returning to a passion project 20 years in the making, called "Learning to Drive", inspired by his brother Andy. His award winning short screenplay became an award winning short film and as of early 2018 has evolved into a feature length screenplay called "River".
