Dawn Spinella

Dawn has won several awards for her biographical screenplay "Mary & The Moon" including The Alfred P. Sloan Science Screenwriting award. She recently completed a feature bio-pic and turns her attention to another biopic about Rev. Troy Perry in early 2019. Dawn holds an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA, and an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She's had the honor of working with and learning from, amazing filmmakers like Dustin Lance Black (Milk), Bobby Moresco (Crash), Paula Wagner (Mission Impossible), Wolfgang Petersen (The Perfect Storm) and dozens of other working writers and directors. Dawn's background includes acting, directing, producing, writing, photography, and teaching. She's currently finishing an instructional guide to writing biographical features. Dawn moderates the American Screenwriters Conference.
