Elphin Lloyd-Jones

Elphin is a designer, illustrator, animator, painter and sculptor. He began his career at BBC Wales, before moving into book illustration. Following a period working as a designer, animator and animation director in Germany, he returned to the UK to set up his own studio, producing commercials, short animated films and specials for Thames television, after which he set up his London studio with John Mills as his co-director. He designed and animated a pilot, The Telebugs, which became a series for Television South, before going on to design and direct The Animals of Farthing Wood, for which he received a BAFTA nomination.
