Don Roff has been involved in filmmaking for over half of his 35 years. A northeastern Oregon native, he first began making Super-8 live action and animated short films at the age of 14. During his early years at Walla Walla Community College, he focused primarily on photojournalism and writing film reviews. After a four year stint with the US Army Airborne Rangers in Ft. Benning, Georgia, where Roff served as a radio operator during the American/Panama campaign: Operation Just Cause in 1989, he returned to college. At the Evergreen State College, Roff pulled his focus to film production. He created two acclaimed short films, "A Night in the Life of the Vampire" and "The Weird World of Mushroom Madness." It was also at Evergreen where Roff studied screenwriting under acclaimed playwright and screenwriter, Frederick Nolan. Roff was also a regular article contributor to Cinema Seattle's "Reel News" magazine. He was also a reader for Cinema Seattle's Screenwriter's Salon, evaluating scripts for Northwest-based screenwriters. Roff administrates his company, PerfeKt Films, in New York City.
