Currently, as of early 2011, Natalia is writing a couch-surfing memoir, "52 Weeks, 52 Couches: How I Slept My Way Through Hollywood (Without Sleeping with Anybody)." When the recession hit in 2009, Natalia could not find a job as easily as she once could. So she gave up her beachside apartment and decided to live with a different friend each week for a year. Back when the job market was better, Natalia had several non-fiction short stories published, associate produced a documentary for The History Channel as well as webisodes featuring Bill Nye the Science Guy for Disney Education, has gotten a few feature film scripts optioned, and has worked on several TV shows as a writers' assistant and script coordinator ("Desperate Housewives," "Hung," "Sherri," "Valentine," "Related," "My Big Fat Greek Life," etc.). Before television, she worked in feature film development (for Mace Neufeld & David Engel) and for literary agents and managers Dana Wright, Lee Kernis, & Tim Sarkes (at The Geddes Agency & Brillstein Entertainment Partners, respectively). Prior to the above, Natalia graduated from the American Film Institute (AFI) with an MFA in Screenwriting at age 23; to date, the youngest student to get an MFA from the conservatory. Before L.A., Natalia worked in investigative broadcast journalism at an ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, WI. Also in Milwaukee, she attended Marquette University, where she double majored in Journalism and Sociology. While spending a semester at St. Clare's College in Oxford, England, Natalia wrote her first play. She submitted it to AFI, moved to L.A., and has not left since.
