Cook was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He began his career in TV production during college in Spokane in the 1970s, and took a break from making TV commercials in the 80's to write, direct, and produce his short film, Lemons, and feature-length film, Only a Buck. In the 90's he married and had 1 daughter with his wife. Since then, he made a living in merchandise photography. His company, Heck Yes Productions, served clients such as ABC, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, The Sci-Fi Channel, PBS, CBS, NBC, CNN, A&E, HBO, the NBA, Nike, Ugg, Adidas, K-Swiss, Bell, Mattel, Toaster Strudel, Mazda, Honda, and more. Today he makes YouTube videos documenting his latest hair-brained schemes to save the US economy.
