Crystel Amsalem

After earning a degree from the Sorbonne Film School in Paris and attending classes and workshops with John Strasberg , Jack Waltzer and Susan Batson from the Actors Studio, Crystel Amsalem makes her initial steps in the film industry at the University of California, Santa Barbara (U.C.S.B), where she directs her first short film ANOTHER GIRL. Then, she works as an actress on several short films, feature films, TV shows, in France and in the U.S such as HIGHLANDER, NINE MONTHS, DIRTY TRICKS. She soon evolves to producing and directing shorts films and music video clips. Crystel Amsalem directs her first feature film, WHEN ANGELS INTERFERE...., released in March 2006 in France, which won the Award for best actor, Alexandre Brasseur, at the Paris Film Festival. The film was also nominated in several festivals in New York, Boston, Melbourne, Palm Beach, Washington, and many other festivals all around the world... She pursues her career as an actress in TV shows. She also directs many commercials and music video clips in France and in the U.S. Currently, Crystel Amsalem is about to direct her second feature film ART, LOVE & MONEY, a female-driven film set in the art world, co-written with Patrick Levy.
