Ben Samek

Ben Samek has served as President and Chief Operating Officer, Endemol Shine Americas, since January 2018. Samek originally joined Endemol USA in January 2014 as Chief Operating Officer In his current role, Samek has oversight of Endemol Shine's North American subsidiary production companies - Authentic Entertainment, 51 Minds and Truly Original, as well as Endemol Shine's operations across Latin America, including Endemol Shine Boomdog in Mexico and Endemol Shine Brasil. Samek also leads Endemol Shine's Los Angeles-based corporate development and commercial franchise teams, including the company's licensing, marketing, social media, branded content, branded integration and research teams. The company's hit series in the U.S. include Big Brother (CBS), MasterChef (FOX), Lego Masters (FOX), Wipeout (TBS), The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo), Keeping Up With the Kardashians (E!), Ink Masters (Paramount Network) and the upcoming launches of Foodtastic (Disney+), Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance (Peacock), The Surreal Life (VH1) and Ripley (Showtime). Spanish-language series include Mira Quién Baila (Univision), LOL: Last One Laughing (Amazon), ¿Quién Es La Máscara? (Televisa), MasterChef Mexico (Azteca), Tu Cara Me Suena (Univison) and Súbete a Mi Moto (Amazon). Prior to joining Endemol Shine, Samek served as Chief Operating Officer at 51 Minds Entertainment, where he helped grow the company from its boutique beginnings into an industry heavyweight that produced more than $100 million a year in content. Samek began his career in the unscripted television production trenches and later won an Emmy Award for producing the third season of The Amazing Race.
