Natalie Au entered the Miss Chinese (Vancouver) Pageant in 1998 and won Miss Friendship and First Runner-Up. Her sunshine smile and amazing talent was immediately noticed by the producers of Fairchild Television, the Chinese-Canadian television station in Canada, and she was approached to host a weekly program "What's On". She still currently hosts the program, and is also active in film and TV commercials both in mainstream and in the Chinese community. Natalie garnered rave reviews playing a cancer patient in the Hong Kong film, "Life Is A Miracle (Sung Ming Yun Oi Dung Ting)" in 2000 when she shaved her head for the role. As well as acting and hosting, Natalie is a high school and elementary school teacher in Vancouver teaching mathematics and physical education.
