Shannon received a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota where she studied communications and marketing. In 2000, Shannon arrived in Los Angeles, where she landed a series regular role for a pilot entitled "Double Wide", executive produced by Fred Jung. She has appeared in The Sweetest Thing (2002), Salon Confidential (2000), Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), Auto Focus (2002) (aka "The Bob Crane Story"), Uh Oh! (2003), 50 First Dates (2004), as well as emceed at the Comedy Bedroom with seasoned comedians, Rick Overton (I) and Michael McShane (I). Shannon performed sketch comedy at the well-known Second City Los Angeles. Additionally, she was a Field Correspondent for PAX Television's "The Vintage Vehicle Show" (1993). In 2008, Ms. Murphy became involved in 'Ron Paul (II) "Rally for the Republic", where she interviewed Presidential candidate Governor Bob Barr (II) , former Governor Jesse Ventura (I), political authors Doug Wead and 'Bill Kauffman (I), musician Aimee Adams, Olympian Eric Vendt and former Chief of Staff to 'Ron Paul (II), Lee Rockwell. Shannon has been a guest hosts on ShopNBC since 2007 and resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Murphy became involved with Jung Guns Entertainment and Phoenix Entertainment in as a producer creating semi-scripted reality series with Fred Jung and Mitch Ackerman. Currently, in pre-production for "RedNeck Rivals", "The Fact Finder's" and numerous other television series.
