Patricia Cullen

Born in Devon, England, Patricia has appeared in regional theater in Great Britain and in the U.S., enjoying a commercial and voice-over career in both countries. She received her training at the prestigious Central London School of Speech and Drama, where Dame Judi Dench was a schoolmate. While living in Los Angeles, she was casting director for the Colony Theatre in Burbank for ten years and served on their Artistic Advisory Board. As a member of the Colony acting company, she appeared as Mrs. Primrose in an award-winning production of "On the Twentieth Century," Meg Long in "Our Country's Good" and Mrs. Kirby in "You Can't Take It with You" (Drama-Logue Award). Additionally, she played Mrs. Green in "The Verdi Girls" at Laguna Playhouse, Miss Prism in "The Importance of Being Earnest" with Susan Clark at the Rubicon and Mrs. Fezziwig in "A Christmas Carol" at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Other stage credits include "Hay Fever," "Private Lives," "Man and Superman," "Rashomon," "Noises Off," "King Lear," "The Merchant of Venice," "Absurd Person Singular," "Charlie's Aunt," "The Hollow Crown," "Pack of Lies," "Tartuffe," "Heartbreak House" and "Picnic." For seven years, she appeared in the recurring role of Gail Wallace on the popular soap opera, "The Young and the Restless." Patricia has extensive experience in children's theater. At the Fresno (California) Children's Playhouse, in which productions were headlined by two adults supported by a cast of teenagers and children, she starred as "Mary Poppins, " choreographing "The Music Man" and other productions. For several years, she volunteered with the Franklin Elementary (Los Angeles) after-school program as an assistant drama supervisor, working with children ages 5 to 11 to produce abridged versions of popular shows. She participated with the "Grannie Reading Program" at the Los Feliz (Los Angeles) Library, and for holiday events at the Northridge (California) Presbyterian Church. Patricia has been a member of British Actors' Equity since the 1950s, and American Equity since 1982. Other professional associations include the British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles and GreenLight Women. Patricia now resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
