Rex Williams was born in New York City in 1917, the son of Walter J. Williams, and is of Welsh descent. Rex began his career in New York acting on Broadway, and later moved out to Hollywood in the 1930s to pursue his dream of being on the Silver Screen. In addition to being a film and stage actor, Rex was also a painter and sculptor, and lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for over twenty years until his death at the age of 89. Rex is survived by his five sons: Peter, Christopher, Patrick, Matthew, and Stephen.
