Eiji Yoshikawa was born on August 11, 1892 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He was a writer, known for Samurai I: Musashi Miyamoto (1954), Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island (1956) and Oatsurae Jirôkichi kôshi (1931). He was previously married to Fumiko Ikedo and Yasu Akazawa. He died on September 7, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan.
