Roberta Zimber was a B.A. graduate of Aquinas College and received her M.A. degree from the University of Michigan. She taught Speech, Drama and The Humanities at Cass Technical High School in Detroit for 31 years. The favorite student play that she produced was "Fame" and she absolutely loved producing Cass Drama Department plays. Multi-talented, she would not only produce and direct plays she would also frequently make costumes as she was a very talented seamstress. Well known in local community and dinner theater circles, Roberta performed in numerous productions ranging from "Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean" to a local short feature film, Hefty's. In Hefty's Roberta played the waitress, working beside Sam Raimi who played a chef - never imagining he would become the huge success he is today. Hefty's was written by Dick Rockwell and produced and directed by John Prusak.
