Delana Cole was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in Louisiana. Delana Cole father was a popular local Gospel Singer and Minister. Her mother wrote, performed, and directed Christian plays and led a Christian Thespian Troupe (Delana was a member) that performed throughout the state of Louisiana for many years. Delana shared her mother's passion for the Arts and was elated when she landed a small role as Ruby's Child in the movie "The Toy in 1982. Delana continued to embrace her love for acting by becoming a member of her high school drama club (Baton Rouge Magnet High-1983)and performing in various plays. She pursued Broadcast Journalism at Louisiana State University (1993-1997). After college, Delana worked behind the scenes as a Camera Operator, News Copy Writer/Assistant and Commercial Voice-Over Talent at a local television station in Louisiana, WVLA-33 (1995-1998). During that time, Delana also worked for a popular Louisiana Radio Station (Citywide Broadcasting-1997-1999) hosting and producing a one-hour live radio talk show "Question of the Day". The radio show afforded Delana the opportunity to interview prominent State Leaders, Educators, Authors and Local and National celebrities including a young Raven Simone (The Cosby Show), and Blair Underwood. Delana resides in Atlanta, GA. She is a Voice-Over Actress (2011-2015). Delana Cole is also the Founder and President of CareNAction, Inc a Georgia Non-Profit agency, that advocates for the rights and support of Older Adults and Caregivers.
