Poet, actor and director (b. 5 May 1925, Istanbul - d. 20 June 2002). He graduated from Istanbul Robert College (1946). He studied at Washington State and Wisconsin Universities (1950-57). He worked as actor and director at Istanbul City Theatres and on Turkish Radio and Television Corporation theatre programs. He retired in 1982. He translated a lot of plays from English to Turkish and from Turkish to English. Through the plays he directed, he collected the Ankara Art Institution Award (1976) with Issiz Topraklar (Desolate Lands), the Avni Dilligil Award (1978) with Kadife Çiçekleri (Velvet Flavors) and for a second time the Avni Dilligil Award (1984) with "Amadeus". In addition, he did many voiceovers for cinema and television (Ittihad and Terakki-Union and Progress, Üç Istanbul-Three Istanbuls, etc.)
