Paul Edward Draper

Paul Draper is best known for being the lead vocalist with band Mansun. He is not to be confused with the American dancer or the philosopher sharing the same name. He made a name for himself by providing vocals and guitar for his band, Grind in 1991 - only releasing one single. Mansun was formed a few years after with bassist Stove King, guitarist Dominic Chad and drummer Andie Rathbone. The 1997 debut album, Attack Of The Grey Lantern was a hit reaching number 1 in the UK album charts. The singles Taxlo$$ and Wide Open Space are the bands best known songs. Wide Open Space went on to become a popular club track due to a 'Paul Oakenfold' remix (under the name Perfecto). Mansun disbanded in 2003. Draper went onto collaborate with Skin and The Joy Formidable . He has also been pursuing various solo projects. He is acclaimed for his stylish dress sense and for being a major figure on both the Britpop and post-Britpop scene(s).
