Coming from a Fine Art background my films are visually led and reflect the surreal poetry of everyday places in the Northern landscape. My father was an ex-coal-miner who dreamed up inventions for a horse jacuzzi. My films explore these hidden lives and hopes in all their technicolour wonder. I have made award winning films for Film4, Channel 4, Creative England, British Film Institute, The Arts Council of England, the Film Council and Yorkshire TV. Winning awards at International film festivals around the world. I was selected for Creative England and BFI I-Shorts, Creative England, BFI and BBC Films I-Features and the industry flagship Guiding Lights mentoring scheme. In 2021 my vampire feature THIRST was one of eighteen projects selected for Cannes Film Festival/Frontieres Co-Production Market and was shortlisted for Sundance Screenwriter's Lab 2019.
