Adriana Vladimirova Dunavska is Bulgarian competitor in rhythmic gymnastics . She is the first Bulgarian Olympic medalist in rhythmic gymnastics and one of the so-called " The golden girls " of Neshka Robeva. She was born in the city of Sofia on April 21, 1969. In 1988 Seoul Olympics rhythmic gymnastics was first included in the Olympic program. With the debut of Olympic Adriana won a silver medal in fighting Marina Lobach and Alexandra Timoshenko (both from the USSR ). Adriana has a twin sister - Kameliya , which is also a gymnast. At the beginning she engaged in artistic gymnastics under the guidance of coach Borislava Kyutchukova in Central Sport Club of Army (Sofia), then with Svetla Koltchevska. In the national team she trained under the guidance of Neshka Robeva . Despite a fractured in right foot she participated in 1987 World Championships in Varna. In June 2007 she was appointed head coach of the national rhythmic gymnastics ensemble. In 2006, she was invited by France to take over their national team, but because of their commitment to our team she returned to Bulgaria after the Beijing Olympics. In 2008, she leaved the Bulgarian national team and became head coach of the French national team - individually and in ensemble. Under her leadership team noted a sharp rise, while retaining the spirit of the French gymnastics, but is enriched with many complex elements typical for leading schools, one of which is Bulgarian. Adriana Dunavska took part in the film "AkaDaMuS'(1988), directed by Georgi Djulgerov.
