José Zelaya

Jose Zelaya is an El Salvador-born graphic artist and character designer who is employed by Disney Television Animation and Mercury Filmworks. He gained notoriety through his character designs on many animated television series including Recess (1997) (in which he designed one of the main characters, Ashley Spinelli), Futurama (1999) , Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003) (in which he designed several characters, including the popular Experiment 624/Angel), American Dragon: Jake Long (2005), Phineas and Ferb (2007), Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates (2011), and The Lion Guard (2015) (in which he designed one of the main characters, Bunga the Bravest).
