Seasoned entertainment and music industry insider, Charles "Charlie Mack" Alston is no stranger to the world of Tinsel Town's glitz and glamour. A native of Philadelphia, Charlie Mack, an entertainment giant has a long standing track record in the entertainment business, dating back to 1978 when he hosted a house party for 200 youths in the basement of his mother's home. A year later, Charlie Mack became a Record Promoter/A&R Director for the independent label, "April Records". During the early 80's, Mack began his professional career as road manager and security for MC Breeze. In 1987, Mack elevated from bodyguard to Executive Personal Assistant for his then teenage rap star friends Will "Fresh Prince" Smith and Jeff "Jazzy Jeff" Townes. In 1990, Charlie Mack relocated to Los Angeles for several years and continued to work with Smith during his "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" days as well as through most of his subsequent blockbuster films as his Personal Executive Assistant. Known for unselfishly lending his professional relationships to aid aspiring talent and basically anyone in need, Charlie Mack played an integral role in discovering talent like Boyz II Men and others in the industry. Despite a lucrative and rewarding career working side by side with Mega Star Will Smith, Charlie Mack chose to move back to his native Philadelphia to be closer to his children and fulfill his dream of reigniting the entertainment and social fire within the city of Philadelphia. In September of 2003, Mack founded, 215 Aphillyated, a minority owned and operated concert production, promotion, and management company in the Delaware Valley. 215 Aphillyated has two divisions. Concert Promotions / Production and Management. During the same year, Mack instituted his banner anti-violence program/fundraiser - "Charlie Mack Party 4 Peace Celebrity Weekend," a charitable benefit to raise awareness and money for organizations who seek to eradicate violence after the murders of his two brothers to street violence, Mothers in Charge being one of the main benefactors. Prior to establishing, Party 4 Peace, Charlie Mack raised significant monetary contributions on behalf of the United Negro College Fund from 1990 - 1996, established the Charlie Mack Celebrity Basketball Games" in 1990 along with toured and inspired the residents of the Philadelphia Youth Study Center with many of his celebrity friends and clients, including Will & Jada Pinkett Smith. Charlie Mack touts his proudest accomplishment in life is that of servitude; he has touched over 500,000 lives since 1980, providing food, shelter, clothing, toy give-ways, monetary donations for the children, adults, non-profit organizations, corporations and elected officials in beloved city of Philadelphia. Mack credits his Uncle Nelson; the creator of the Philadelphia Sound, Kenny Gamble; Entrepreneur, Matt Covington; former Philadelphia 76ers Julius "Dr. J." Erving; Clint Richardson and Franklin Edwards and former Philadelphia Eagles Wilbur Montgomery and Ray Ellis for inspiring him to serve in a way that was unique to him. In 2008, Charlie created the Charlie Mack Love for the Kids Luncheon as part of his Party 4 Peace Celebrity Weekend. In 2011, Mack's philanthropic and civic efforts were highly praised when he and his friend, Actor Will Smith donated 29 top-of-the-line Apple laptops to West Philadelphia high school, after learning that students had stolen sixty computers from the school. Charlie Mack's continues to serve with the creation of Charlie Cares Foundation, hosting his annual Holiday Give-Away & Buy Back event and The Caravan of Kindness with celebrities and Philadelphia elected officials. 40 years in the entertainment industry, Charlie Mack has consulted with various companies such as Electric Factory Concerts, East Coast Express, Walter Latham Presents, Clear Channel and LiveNation, to name a few. He has provided both diverse and quality entertainment locally as well as nationally. Over the years, 215 Aphillyated and its subsidiaries have presented concerts featuring Gospel, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and R&B artists, such as: Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Gladys Knight, and The Isley Brothers; Comedians Chris Tucker, D.L.Hughley and Steve Harvey; Jazz Artists Najee and Larry Carlton; and Hip Hop Artists Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z, and DMX have headlined the billboards. Charlie Mack promoted and hosted Tupac Shakur's very last concert in the city of Philadelphia and the only concert with Lil Kim and Foxy Brown on the same bill. Celebrity galas for Boyz II Men and N'SYNC are also part of his credentials. Mack added to his efforts, Film Producer, co-producing the block buster hit, "Atl," starring Rapper T.I. Recently, Mack co-created and produced the VH1 Special - "Bridging The Gap", which featured Queen Latifah, Eve, Snoop and The Game. Charlie Mack shares, "The thing about life is you want sustainability. I've been sustaining all these years because the service makes me. I want to be known as the big brother of Philadelphia, the life changer, and a servant. That's what it's all about... it's not about you, it's about service. I'm heavily spiritual but I'm not religious, but because I'm a servant, God allows me to be at the level I need to be in order to serve."
