Raised in Hawaii, Terry Sasaki began acting in NYC in 2008. Conversational in several Asian languages, he has portrayed every type of Asian and has even played Native American, Hispanic, Hawaiian, Eskimo, and through voice characters even British, Indian, black, and Southern white. Although eligible for SAG, Terry has maintained this status so that he can continue participating in independent non-union films where he is allowed to play major non-stereotypical roles. So he has played anything from the stereotypical martial artist, computer geek, doctor/dentist, Chinese delivery/deli owner, boyfriend of a gay white guy, sweatshop/human-trafficker/wife-beater/drug-dealer who can't speak English well to the non-stereotypical stud-muffin athlete, charismatic villain, entertainment TV host, fortune teller, hip-hop rapper, leading ladies man, mental patient, victim of abuse, Navy SEAL diver, and even an English teacher. Nominated for Best Actor three times and winning a Best TV Pilot award for both acting & directing, Terry continues to challenge the boundaries of his demographic both in front of and behind the camera. Terry has just completed principal photography on a feature 'Bullets for Jesus' where he plays the lead, David Caine. 2012: Preparing for yet another feature and TV Pilot.
