Joe began his youth career in the West Ham academy before signing his first professional contract with West Ham in 1998 and joined the first team. Joe took part in 126 matches and scored ten goals in five great years at the club.In 2003, Joe Cole joined Chelsea FC along with Frank Lampard. Joe became one of the club's pivots for several following seasons. Chelsea head coach José Mourinho supported Joe's talent and the player developed as an attacking midfielder and winger. Cole represented 'The Blues' for seven years and netted 28 goals in 184 matches for them.In 2010 Joe joined Liverpool on a free transfer and made 20 appearances for the club and scored two goals. In 2011 he went on loan to Lille, which saw Joe finish third place in Ligue 1 that season and play with some great players including Eden Hazard. Joe subsequently had spells with Aston Villa FC and Coventry City FC before enjoying three tremendous years in Florida with Tampa Bay Rowdies where he was able to finish his career From 1997 till 2003 Cole was capped 17 times for the England national U16, U18 and U21 teams and contributed two goals for them. From 2001 till 2012 Joe played 56 matches for the Three Lions and found the net ten times.Joe retired from football in 2018 and has gone on to become a Academy Coach at Chelsea FC and Presenter/Pundit for BT Sport.
