Bruno François-Boucher began making 8mm movies at the age of twelve. Graduated from the French school for the performing arts called Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français, he first started as André Téchiné, Patrice Leconte, Alain Corneau and Luc Besson's assistant director. He then works as director on several short films awarded in numerous festivals among which Coup de pompes (distributed by Warner), Jeu de vilains (produced by Luc Besson), Fils de personne, Grain de folie (presented in official selection in Teheran Film Festival), Mélanie, Life together (from a novel by Dorothy Parker). Letters of a Portuguese Nun is his first feature in 2014, presented in official selection in Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean countries, Titanic International Film Festival in Budapest, Prix Henri Langlois (France), Les Rimbaud du cinéma (France). Since 2015 he has directed several French independent features films : Revelation (2017) (fantasy thriller), Douche écossaise (2018) (road-movie comedy), Correspondances (2019) (sociological documentary), Le dernier acte (2022) (thriller), Quitte pour la peur (2022) (historical film). Bruno François-Boucher is also producer of feature films with his company Bon Voyage Films productions : The dark side of the wall (De l'autre côté du mur), directed by Tiburce, received 20 awards in international festivals, of which the Best Indie Feature Film to Hollywood Gold Awards.
