Brett was born in the central west of New South Wales. He is the only child and attended the local High School, where he studies Drama as an elective. Brett's debut was as a lighting technician for the local Performing Arts Society's "The Mikado" in 2000. The following year he played a sailor in "Anything Goes". The same year proved successful for Brett, when the announcement came that film director Bill Bennett was heading to the west to make the film The Nugget (2002) . He decided to give film biz ago and successfully applied for a role in "The Nugget".He credits the majority of his amateur acting success to that of his high school drama teacher. He hopes to become an Australian actor and follow in the footsteps of his idols 'Charles Tingwell' & Stephen Curry.
