Doris Carey was born Doris Erica Radlinger on May 17, 1940. Doris met her character actor husband Timothy Carey in 1957 in Germany while Carey was acting in Paths of Glory (1957) for Stanley Kubrick. She had acting roles in the movies The World's Greatest Sinner (1962) and Tweet's Ladies of Pasadena (1979), both of which were directed by her husband. Moreover, Doris wrote a book of poems called "Echoes of a Soul in Anguish" as well as was her husband's writing partner on several scripts and plays which include "The Insect Trainer." Her hobbies included knitting, gardening, homemaking, animal rescue, and other philanthropic endeavors. Doris died of a heart attack at age 77 on June 7, 2017 at Arcadia Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles, California. She was survived by her children Romeo Carey, Mario, Velencia, Silvana, Dagmar, and Germain; and her grandchildren Priscilla, Ambria, Kevin, Fiory, Akira, and Prima.
