TV personality and America's premiere female voice announcer Randy Thomas can be heard daily as the voice of CBS Television Distribution's "Entertainment Tonight" for CBS Television Distribution. Thomas is the first woman to announce the Academy Awards, the Tony Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Miss America Pageant. She has served as the announcer for the Academy Awards seven times and is the first person ever to announce The Oscars, The Tonys and The Emmys -- all in the same year. Thomas made history as the halftime announcer for Super Bowl 44 introducing The WHO. This broadcast reached more people than any other television show in the history of TV. In addition to her daily duties on "Entertainment Tonight", Thomas is "the narrator of a new series for ID (Investigation Discovery. The ten-part series True Crime with Aphrodite Jones airs beginning March 11, 2010; and, she is the branding voice of WWOR-My9 TV in New York City. Thomas has been winning accolades and opening doors for female voice artists for 15 years. She began her career studying acting at HB Studios in New York City and with Adam Hill in Los Angeles. With more than 20 years of experience as a radio personality in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Miami, Thomas has gone on to achieve her dreams as a freelance voice-over artist, recognizable television personality, and now author. Randy recently completed her first book "Voice for Hire: Launch and Maintain a Lucrative Career in Voice-Overs" (Watson-Guptill Publications, a division of Random House Inc.) She collaborated with top New York voice coach Peter Rofe. The foreword is written by her friend and mentor, "the godfather of the voice-over industry," the late Don La Fontaine. Randy's wealth of hands-on experience gives her a unique perspective.
