Chris Barfoot

Multi award-winning writer and director- Christopher J. Barfoot MA, produced classic mini-features for several years. Barfoot's films aired with ITV, NBC Universal Sci/Fi Channel and Sky Movies etc. Winning four US Worldfest Remi' awards (2001/3) and then First-Place (plus an Honorable mention) at DragonCon led Barfoot to invest several years developing full feature screenplays in preparation of his pending movie slate- set to run from 2020 debuting with 'Black Russian'. Barfoot's award winning short film- the horror/fantasy classic of 'The Reckoning' received the highest 'NBC SCI FI Channel' viewing figures - ever, also winning Sky Movies' top ten short films of all time. Chris left Highbury College (Portsmouth) in 1991 with a B-TEC Diploma in Media Design and produced comedy sketches for LWT (ITV) until writing and directing 'Phoenix' (1997) starring Prunella Scales. Next came the legendary 'Dead Clean' (1998) starring Shane Richie, Andrew Sachs, Leone Samson and Mark Chapman. Barfoot also directed digital commercials; his last being for Pepsi (2007). He disappeared from the industry for ten years but is now prepping his self-penned feature slate, including 'Hell's Gate' aka The Hounds at Hell's Gate' - the screenplay won a gong at the L.A Film Festival (2010).
