Biography

Kelly Lester is an actress, singer and "juggler": During the last two decades she has also been an entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three. Kelly has appeared in dozens of plays and musicals in the Los Angeles area and on the east coast. Early work includes The Fantasticks opposite Tony-award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell and Grease, directed by Tony-award nominee Scott Ellis and choreographed by Tony-award winner Susan Stroman. Before moving to NYC in 2018, Los Angeles theatre goers saw Kelly as Peter Allen's mother Marion in the sold out, long running west coast premiere of The Boy From Oz at Celebration Theatre, and Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret at La Mirada Theatre. Other stage credits: "Mame" in Mame with Musical Theatre Guild, "The Adult Woman" in Spring Awakening, and Mrs. Zero in Adding Machine: A Musical. Kelly has won both Stage Scene LA and Robby Awards for best actress in a musical. Since moving east, Kelly has played leading roles in productions of The Mystery of Edwin Droo
