Nejat Gürsoy

He was born in Istanbul in 1954. He studied at Pertevniyal High School. in the early 1970s, he entered the cinema, which he was passionately attached to, and tried to educate himself sarcastically. For many years, he assisted many directors such as Çetin Inanç, Mehmet Aslan, Natuk Baytan and Atif Yilmaz. Gürsoy, who started directing with the movie 'Kasirga', which was shot as a Turkish-Italian joint production in 1986 and also featured Italian actors, was telling the adventures of a journalist who got into a fight with a gang engaged in drug and women trafficking. Nejat Gûrsoy, who made 27 films in his 13 years of directing life, passed away at the age of 41, at a time that can be called young. The unexpected death of Gürsoy, who devoted his entire life to cinema and produced many products in this field, caused great sorrow in Yesilçam circles.
