From 2014-2015, the original 'Monster Island' short film, written and directed by Sean, played in festivals including Toronto After Dark, the Atlantic Film Festival, and the Academy Award-qualifying Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival. The short received critical reviews from noted industry people, including producer Michael C. He went on to receive coverage in national publications such as 'The Globe and Mail', as well as CBC news, CBC Mainstreet and online publications including Bloody-Disgusting, JoBlo, IMDb and more. Competitively, Sean's scripts have placed in the finals/semi-finals for several major competitions, including the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest, Telefilm's 'Micro-Budget Financing Program', the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, The Harold Greenberg Fund, and others. -- Having worked as a writer-for-hire for feature scripts for prod companies, he also spent time in the writer's room for Season 2 of the CBC legal drama series, 'Diggstown'.
