I grew up watching Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton.” Josh Gad is a multi-faceted American actor, singer and comedian, famous for bringing Olaf, the lovable snowman to life in Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019). He trained at Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts, where he earned his BA in Drama. Gad made his film debut in 2002 with the movie Mary and Joe and, years later, he starred in the comedy The Daily Show (2007) in the role of Ryan Church, the news director. His big break to fame came with his portrayal of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon. During the 2000s, Gad also made appearances in various television series and films, such as The Rocker (2008) and Love and Other Drugs (2010). In 2012, he had a starring role in the independent film She Wants Me and co-created, produced and starred in the comedy 1600 Penn. Gad has appeared in notable films such as The Wedding Ringer (2015), Pixels (2015) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). In addition to his iconic role as Olaf, he has lent his voice to other characters in Angry Birds (2016 and 2019), Beauty and the Beast (2017) and The Lion King (2019), among others. His ability to combine comedy and drama, along with his distinctive voice, has allowed him to create memorable characters and endear him to audiences.
